DEANNA:

Deanna is the Office and Surgical Coordinator for Dr. Valella's practice. She has been in the medical field for 10 years and in customer relations for over 30 years. She uses her expertise to ensure the patient's visit to the office is pleasant and comfortable. She maintains the patient flow in the office so Dr. Valella can devote her attention to the highest quality eye health care for her patients.

"I am thankful to be on Dr. Valella's team. She is passionate and dedicated to her profession and patients, providing state-of-the-art eye health care. I am always learning and each day is a new experience."

CHRISSY:

Chrissy is a graduate of Western Michigan University with a BA in Communications. She has worked in the medical field for 10 years. She is Dr. Valella's first Remote Technician and works in a private home office directly assisting our doctor with exam preparation and documentation, correspondence to other physicians, updating medications and allergies, and e-prescribing medications. She has access through a secure remote connection to six different work stations located at Dr. Valella's office. This allows for greater flexibility and efficiency for Dr. Valella to treat her patients in a timely and professional manner.

"I am so privileged to be apart of the doctor's concept of the Remote Technician. I love my job and the flexibility it allows me working from home. It has been very rewarding to work so closely with the doctor and I enjoy learning new technology."

TORI:

Tori has worked in the optical field since 1980. She works for Dr. Valella as a Technician and Optician, assisting the doctor throughout the examination, and assisting patients with frame selection and lens options.

"I enjoy my current position in the field of optometry. I have the best of all worlds working for Dr.Valella. I am able to work side by side with a doctor who is passionate about providing quality eye health care. I am fortunate to have the opportunity to work with the most state of the art testing equipment and I also have the pleasure to work closely with our patients fitting quality eyewear."

SUZANNE:

Suzanne has over 25 years in office procedures. She is the main Receptionist for the office, answering phone calls and welcoming each patient. Suzanne ensures that pertinent information is up-to-date before the patient begins any procedures.

"Dr. Valella is unique in her approach to the overall health of her patients, not just with their eyes. I am excited to be part of that dedication. We really enjoy the relationships we develop with our patients."

AUTUMN:

Autumn works part time assisting our front office and optical department. She is currently a high school student interested in working in the medical field.

"Working in Dr. Valella's office has been a great experience. I am able to learn new things every day to better my future. Dr. Valella is a very dedicated and outgoing doctor. She is always learning new things and teaching them to us. That determination benefits not only her but also our patients."

GERRY:

Gerry is a graduate of Kalamazoo Valley Community College with an Associates Degree in Applied Science. She has worked in the medical field for over 15 years. She prepares insurance information for patient visits for both vision and medical exams. She creates and mails reminder cards each month reminding patients of their upcoming appointments.

"I have worked in the office and know the staff and have a good relationship with them. I admire Dr. Valella's concern and compassion for her patients. I now have the best of both worlds, working from home at my discretion."

BECKY:
Becky has her certifications in Medical Assisting, American Board of Opticinary Association, and Ophthalmic Technician. Becky has worked in the medical and optical field since 1983. She works for Dr. Valella as an Optometric Technician assisting the doctor throughout the examination, and helping in the optical dispensary as well.

"I appreciate the opportunity to work with an Optometrist like Dr. Valella, who is dedicated to providing only the best care possible to her patients. Dr. Valella's state of the art equipment allows me to work side by side with her in the diagnosing and educating of our patients on their eye health."
